CNC Entry Level Machinist Certificate (Boot Camp)
Moraine Park Technical College
Moraine Park is combating the skilled worker shortage by launching manufacturing skills academies in a series of 15-week boot camps. A consortium of partnering businesses including Integrity Saw & Tool, Inc., MIBA Industrial Bearings U.S. LLC, Mid-States Aluminum Corporation and Signicast, are providing this unique training opportunity to potential candidates. Participants will gain entry-level skills in this exciting and growing field, while allowing them to earn credits toward a degree. Skills developed will provide experience in: Machining center setup; Turning center setup; Calculations of speeds and feeds for tool and material; Identifying basic programming of numerical controls; Examining drawing formats through the reading of prints. Individuals must attend an information and testing session. They are required to attain minimum scores in Reading and Math on the Accuplacer as well as take a series of Mechanical Aptitude tests for the participating businesses.

Advisory board committee members from area businesses provide guidance and direction on curriculum and program outcomes.
Moraine Park offers Employment Services and Career Services to students.
Tutoring is available online and face to face for our students.
